Our growing lumberyard is looking for an ambitious, energetic individual to fill a full-time Delivery Driver position. You will drive a company vehicle to deliver lumber, building materials, hardware and other building and maintenance supplies to customer's home, construction site or place of business. We are looking for people who want a career in the lumber business as we prioritize promoting from within. All applicants must have valid CDL license. Most important traits are attitude and reliability. Previous forklift experience is a plus. This position reports into the Contractor Sales & Delivery Manager.
Working hours are Monday through Saturday between 7 AM to 5 PM. No Sundays. Because our customers are the heart of our business, you will want to assist the store and yard staff as needed.
Job Qualifications:
• Valid CDL license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Ability to work and drive in various weather conditions
Job Responsibilities:
• Loads deliveries and unloads returns on the trailer safely
• Drops materials off the trailer on job sites
• Coordinate with dispatch and yard team on loads
• Match material on paperwork to physical built loads
• Keeps daily delivery paperwork organized
• Performs routine safety check on vehicles according to company guidelines
• Informs store management of any customer complaints or requests in a timely manner
• When not driving, assists in the yard and warehouse with stocking, loading, organizing materials and assist customers
• Complies with all federal, state, and local laws
• Acts as a customer service liaison between the site customer and our company
